Overview

FSA (Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle für die Arzneimittelindustrie e.V.)

The Voluntary self-monitoring for the pharmaceutical industry (FSA) was founded by members of the drug research and manufacturing association. The FSA, which is seated in Berlin, monitors proper collaboration between pharmaceutical companies, care providers, pharmacists and other healthcare industry professionals, as well as patient self-help groups, and may sanction violations.

BPI (Bundesverband der Pharmazeutischen Industrie e.V.)

In November of 2007 the Federal association of the German pharmaceutical industry (BPI) initiated and founded the drugs and cooperation in healthcare association (AKG: Arzneimittel und Kooperation im Gesundheitswesen e. V.). The AKG focuses primarily on preventive measures, including early consulting of pharmaceutical companies.

AKG (Arzneimittel und Kooperation im Gesundheitswesen e.V.)

As a self-monitoring agency of the pharmaceutical industry, the AKG supports its members in ensuring fair and transparent corporate behavior between the pharmaceutical and health care industries.

EFPIA (European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries und Associations)

The EFPIA is the European umbrella association of the individual national pharmaceutical associations.

IFPMA (International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations)

The IFPMA is the most important governing body of the pharmaceutical industry world-wide. A number of the world’s largest pharmaceutical concerns are organised within it.

PFF (Pharma-Fortbildungs-Forum)

The forum for further education in Pharmaceuticals (PFF) is set up to provide bi-annual continuing education. Participants of the forum include pharmaceutical employees responsible for event organisation, marketing and sales. Within their pharmaceutical associations they arrange educational events, congress sponsoring and other conferences.
